Art Nouveau 1920s Meeker Made Hand tooled leather craftsman handbag Rare with Original Tag Condition

A ladies’ Art Nouveau late 1920s purse made variegated brown pressed leather featuring beautiful Art Nouveau craftsman design. In the style of William Morris using a A solid brass decorative kiss lock, makes a satisfying clunk when closing. This is a rare bag in amazing condition.

There is one main compartment and two open slash compartments on either side.
There is one handle, in amazing condition supple and strong.
The condition is Excellent. There are no major scuffs, or holes. The leather is supple and the inside lining is clean. No odors, musty or otherwise. Really exceptional.

The Meeker trademark was first used in 1922, although a hang tag on a more recent bag carried a label reading, "Meeker Personalized Leather Goods since 1910.
